Directions by Air:

  • Bradley International Airport is the major Hartford-based terminal. http://www.bradleyairport.com/home/.
  • Tweed International Airport is a smaller, New Haven-based terminal that does have service from US Airways. http://www.flytweed.com/.
  • Both airports offer a variety of ground transportation from their websites including rental cars. However, Crowne Plaza Hotel offers a FREE shuttle service within a 5-mile radius of the hotel so you will have access to several restaurants, bars, and shopping centers in the area. We recommend taking public transportation to the Crowne Plaza and utilizing the complimentary hotel shuttle for any errands you might need to run during your stay.

3D Road Show attendees are invited to attend the ProductionCONN Day 2 Kickoff Session: The State of 3DTV 

Ted Szypulski, Sr. Director, Technology Research & Standards for ESPN, Chair of the SMPTE standards committee on 3D Home Master, and one of our two SMPTE Governors of the New York Region will give us a high level overview of "The State of 3DTV" Connecticut's own ESPN is serious about 3DTV. A lot has been learned by ESPN about how to produce sporting events in 3D, and Ted will share some of these lessons with us. With the launch of ESPN3D network last June, and the recent change to 24/7 3D programming, ESPN is committed to 3DTV. Come and see what ESPN has learned about telling the story in 3D. As a bonus, Ted will also give an update on all six SMPTE 3D standards committees, what they are working on, why this work is important, and what is the current status of the work. Seats are limited and honored on a first-come, first-serve basis.
