Marketing Intern (2012 Spring Term)
Createasphere serves the entertainment technology community by providing leading tradeshows, education and an online community. We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated Marketing Intern to join our dynamic team in the Burbank office.
The Marketing Intern will assist with projects such as:
- Data analysis (surveys, attendance patterns, etc.)
- Research on industry issues, competitors, and trade partners
- Analysis including market sizing and identifying opportunities
Additionally, the Marketing Intern would be assigned responsibilities such as:
- Pulling daily attendance stats
- Updating company-wide calendars, department timelines, and other lists as needed
- Posting new/updated marketing collateral to internal Wiki
- Posting and interacting with audiences on multiple social media channels with direction from Marketing Manager
- Auditing of website copy and links
- Weekly newsletter administration
Candidates for the Marketing Internship should have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong Excel skills are also required. Coursework in Marketing or Public Relations is desired. An interest in the entertainment industry, digital asset management, or new media is preferred.
This is an unpaid internship of 15 hours per week in exchange for College Credit.

Sales Executive
Createasphere serves the entertainment technology community by providing leading tradeshows, education, and an online community. We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated Sales Executive to join our dynamic team in our Burbank office. The Sales Executive will manage and grow the assigned territory by driving revenue through sales of exhibit booth space, sponsorships, and electronic media.
Responsibilities
- Sell exhibit booth space, sponsorships and electronic media to prospective accounts through existing relationships and generation of new leads
- Consistently meet or exceed revenue and activity goals
- Develop and maintain knowledge about our clients, our market, our company, and our products
- Handle all aspects of the selling and closing process including deposit collections
- Research and write sales package proposals
- Present company overview and proposals to potential clients and ROI on products
- Track and report on all activities through our sales software – Sales Force
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain strong relationships with clients
Qualifications
- Three years of direct sales experience & cold calling
- Experience with trade show and emedia sales
- Experience with the entertainment technology community a plus
- Strong consultative selling experience with ability to up sell products
- Strong work ethic, high degree of initiative, and strong desire to succeed
- Ability to thrive in a small, enthusiastic and transparent team environment
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency with the Internet as a sales tool, specifically for gathering new leads and revenue opportunities
