Jason Perr

Jason Perr, Levels Beyond
Jason Perr has worked in all sides of film and television production and post-production, providing him a unique view of the landscape of digital asset management issues, solutions, and trends. Working as a Visual Effects Supervisor in 2003, Jason built his first automated distribution and approval workflow to automate proceses between post-production offices in Los Angeles, and visual effects offices in South Korea. After many previous jobs in Producing, Production Coordination, Post-Production supervision, and editing, Jason saw a unique niche being created in the technology space that would be a perfect fit to make his transition away from production and into the tech world. A few years later, Jason created MacHarmony with partner Jeff Kinley. MacHarmony built and supported post-production facilities in Southern California and provided custom workflow automation utilities to ease the pains of slow, manual, workflows.

With the release of Apple’s Final Cut Server, Jason found a new niche creating custom solutions to greatly enhance many facilities' workflows through the automation of FCS. The minimal investment afforded any content manager over media asset libraries the ability to ingest and organize their media. With the demise of Final Cut Server and the lack of features and a robust database infrastructure of other similar priced solutions, Jason has spent that last 6 months testing and analyzing all of the solutions offered in the space of custom media asset management and workflow automation systems.

This is when Jason Perr discovered Levels Beyond, a media platform company with a proven track record of helping customers eliminate their workflow pains, reduce agency costs, and develop new revenue streams. Their Reach Engine™ product is an industry leading media management and integration platform that transcends and empowers all the various tools and services typically used by large media companies.

In September of 2011, Jason joined with Levels Beyond to help spearhead a new initiative to create a low-cost Professional version of their very successfull Reach Engine product. Reach Engine is a very powerful, customizable, networkable media mining application designed to organize, search, and automate digital media used across major studios and other organizations needing to manage amounts of digital content.

Jason is currently working closely with Levels Beyond to architect this new solution and deliver a strong new product to the Digital Asset Management market by April of 2012.
