HD EXPO WORKSHOPS Lend Educational Support to ICG Members During WGA Strike Discounts and Payment Plans In Effect For All Workshops

January 8, 2008 (Burbank, CA) HD EXPO has developed an educational alliance with the International Cinematographer’s Guild that offers members discounts and payment plans during the protracted WGA strike. The plan, which will enable ICG Local 600 members to attend cutting-edge technology workshops, is intended to help members utilize the time during work stoppages to expand their skills and knowledge with top tier training.

Kristin Petrovich, CEO of HDEXPO, announced the unique arrangement and noted "We are all aware of the tense climate in the industry as the WGA and AMPTP try and resolve their agreement. It's distressing to see many members of our community who are not working. This is our way of helping ICG members learn new skills and stay on top of their game; knowing that they can pay for it when they are back at work." HD EXPO is offering ICG members a 20% discount for all HD EXPO Workshops in addition to a payment plan that allows 50% of the discounted tuition to be paid when the strike is resolved and the ICG member is back at work.

Current educational workshops include the P2 Workflow Workshop and the VariCamps in cities around the country.
