MARCH 9th HD EXPO ANNOUNCES PRE-N.A.B. 'INSIDER'S PREVIEW' and NEW EMPHASIS ON DISPLAY TECHNOLOGIES
HD Expo announces DISPLAY GALLERY and PREVIEWS Sections of Expo
(February 1, 2006 – Burbank, CA) HD EXPO, today's leading technology exposition focused on the entertainment professional, has announced two exciting new features. The March 9th event will feature an "Insider's Preview" Sneak Peek, the year's first N.A.B. Product Preview. On that date, HD EXPO will also unveil "Display Gallery", an innovative presentation and exploration of state of the art display technologies.
"HD EXPO attendees will be offered an unrivaled opportunity for an inside look at new products, before NAB," announced Kristin Petrovich, CEO of HD EXPO. This preview gives HD EXPO visitors an early, but more importantly, a more accessible product review than is possible on the Las Vegas show floor. "It will be a more relaxed and in-depth look at exciting product announcements," said Petrovich. "For all of us who have tried to see everything at super sized NAB, HD EXPO will offer a smaller, more intimate setting. We believe that the ‘Insider's Preview' is a unique opportunity for manufacturers and users to spend more meaningful, less hectic time together.” A roster of the featured products will be forthcoming.
Petrovich also announced the HD EXPO "Display Gallery", an area focused on presentation of evolving display technologies. The first of its kind, the Display Gallery is an interactive monitor bank that will allow visitors to look carefully at the technology in a comfortable, professionally-designed, comparative environment. "We are always pleased to offer exciting new features at HD EXPO," Petrovich stated. “In the Display Gallery, attendees will be able to see technologies in a casual, interactive environment and talk with industry leaders about equipment and the evolution of technologies." Petrovich believes that “the topic of display and presentation is a hot one to professionals, but it's also of great interest to home theater aficionados. Our research has told us that there is significant interest in understanding the best ways to view creative work. In fact, 75% of attendees at our 2005 HD EXPO's specifically asked for display technology at upcoming shows."
Insider's Preview and Display Gallery are further indications of HD EXPO's ongoing commitment to build a stronger, more educated community. HD EXPO continues to expand its reach by enhancing the shows and delivering cutting edge topical education.
The March 9th' HD EXPO will be held at LA Center Studios, HD EXPO Chicago returns to Columbia College on May 18th, and November 2 will see the HD EXPO at the Universal Hilton in Los Angeles. HD EXPO will continue to feature the panels for which it has become famous, anchored by industry leaders and visionaries who will speak to the needs and questions of the growing HD technical and creative communities. HD EXPO brings together the technology and creative communities with High Definition tools that go straight into the creator's hands. It is the only High Definition event that wraps together the technology through workshops, panels, speakers, sponsorship and exhibits.
