WHAT: 2004 HD EXPO: Race Into the Future With Technology
HD EXPO is a bi-annual gathering of industry leaders working towards the ongoing development and expansion of high definition technology throughout all industries. HD EXPO enables attendees to share technology, network and engage in hands-on educational opportunities.
WHO: One on one with host and sports enthusiast, Craig Kilborn and Mark Cuban, CEO/ Co-founder of HDNet, the world’s first national television network and owner of the Dallas Mavericks NBA franchise.
12:30 - 1:30 p.m.: Interviews with Mark Cuban and Craig Kilborn (by appointment)
1:30 pm – 3:30 p.m.: Cuban/Kilborn One-On-One and Q&A
4:00pm to 5:30pm: HD Super Session moderated by Randall Dark, President of HD Vision Studios. All-star panel will screen work and take on issues such as, coping with changing technology, learning new techniques, dealing with digital production, and weighing costs vs. creativity. Panelists include: Cinematographer Bill Bennett, ASC; Kristen Cox of 16x9 Productions, Mark Chiolis of Thomson, Yasuhiko Mikami, Sony, and Robert Shuster, Hollywood Studios Rentals.
6:00 – 9:00 p.m.: Evening Gala hosted by Fran Drescher
HD EXPO and The Creative Coalition join forces to produce a PSA addressing the issue of Runaway Production and its effect on the community. Panel moderated by Fran Drescher, actor, producer, director, and best-selling author followed by world premier of the spot, directed by Tony Goldwyn. “Runaway Production and The Community”. Panelists include: Bruce Daavison, actor, Bruce Doering National Executive Director, International Cinematographers Guild, John Paul DeJoria, CEO, Paul Mitchell Hair Systems, Martha Coolidge, director.
