Conversation Set For Createasphere in NYC, September 21st, 2010

Since 2004, Mr. Houghton has been the primary cinematographer for the long running hit series “Rescue Me” and is an Emmy nominee for his work on the show.  American Cinematographer’s Iain Stasukevich and Houghton will delve into his work on the popular series, screen clips and look at how Houghton has built a long running, successful career in television and over 30 feature films.  Mr. Stasukevich is a regular contributor to the magazine who also has experience as a digital imaging technician and camera operator.  For 90 years, American Cinematographer has explored the artistic thought processes of the motion-picture industry's most innovative and talented directors of photography, and explained the tools and techniques they use to realize their creative visions.  With an international circulation and the unrivaled respect of filmmakers everywhere, the magazine is recognized as the world's leading publication on film and digital imaging techniques.

The American Cinematographer Conversations are a frequent fixture of Createasphere, bringing the most interesting, awarded cinematographers to the community in illuminating conversations.

Createasphere will take place over two days, September 21st and 22nd at The New Yorker Hotel, featuring an uncommon array of panels, education, and a show floor with a number of US product premiers including announcements from Arri, Panasonic, Manfrotto, and others.  Panels on 3D, hot visual effects, and more are on tap along with a number of free educational intensives from AJA, Adobe, Panasonic, Sony and Canon as well as paid education for RED, artemis and Panasonic.  For a complete schedule and free registration, visit http://createasphere.com/En/expo-home.html.
