This is to CONFIRM you registered for the RED INTENSIVE WORKSHOP at HD EXPO in Intensive Theater 2 at the Universal Hilton in Universal City, California on March 5th from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

SEATING IS EXTREMELY LIMITED! Seating will be first come, first serve. THIS E-MAIL DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOU A SEAT! To increase your chances of getting a seat, be sure to arrive at least one half hour early and be prepared to wait in the pre-registered line on site. HD EXPO reserves the right to refuse seating to anyone.

REGISTRATION CHECK-IN: Because of an overwhelming demand for this Intensive at HD EXPO we will open registration at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 5th. For the quickest check-in, please be sure to print out the unique barcode provided to you at the completion of your on-line registration and bring it with you to the "Badge Pickup" area at registration. You can also print another copy of your barcode by clicking the link in the confirmation email sent to you when you registered. If you do not have your barcode available, please go to the line at registration marked "Onsite Registration" and our friendly staff will look up your record.

Once you receive your badge, you will be directed to an area outside the Intensive Theater until we begin seating for the presentation.

Be aware: While you are registered for this presentation, we will begin seating for the wait list fifteen minutes before the start of the session, so please arrive one half hour or more before the beginning of the session to have the best chance at guaranteeing a spot.


EXTREME RED - Decking out the RED One for OUTRAGEOUS results: An Intensive Workshop

The following panelists have been confirmed (pending availability):

  • Rodney Charters, ASC - RED One owner and reknowned cinematographer ("24" - 143 episodes, and hundreds of hours of prime time television)

  • Chris Burket –Element Technica
  • Ted Schilowitz from RED will be on hand for a Q&A with the panelists and attendees

The Extreme Red Intensive will help new and experienced RED One cinematographers, producers, directors, and DIT’s understand how to get the most from the camera and the tools supporting it. During the session, the experts will take attendees through producing on location and in the studio for crews that are small and those that are larger. The Intensive will be driven by the presenters and the questions from attendees, and the agenda includes discussion about steadicams, dollies, lenses, data management support and the tools that take the RED into the next level of image gathering.

Ted Schilowitz, Leader of the Revolution, will be on hand to answer questions at the end of the presentation and bring his invaluable product and production insights to you.


Please pick up your EXPO pass at the registration area once you arrive. With your registration/EXPO pass, you receive admittance to the exhibitor booth area and all panels and speakers. You must have your badge to attend this INTENSIVE.

PARKING: Parking at the Universal Hilton is on a first come-first serve basis, at a $9/day flat rate for self parking and $14/day rate for valet service. To receive special discounted parking rates, get your parking ticket stamped at show registration. This is not an in and out rate.

Note: Should the Parking lot be full at the Universal Hilton, you will be directed to overflow parking lots at the Universal Studios at the same parking rate.

MARCH 5th EVENING RECEPTION: The highly popular HD EXPO Evening Reception is sponsored by Sponsored by AJA Video Systems Inc. The reception will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, offering hosted drinks and snacks. Hosted drink tickets will be distributed to attendees at the Createasphere Hub in the foyer and are available on a first come, first serve basis.

This is an adult event. No one under the age of 18 will be permitted attendance.
