AVID INTENSIVE WORKSHOP: Avid Independent HD Production Workshop
Come to Avid's Independent HD Production Workshop and learn how to improve the quality of your work, and avoid the many pitfalls of HD production.

  • Understand the differences between the many types of HD cameras and formats and which is most appropriate to help you best tell YOUR story in HD
  • Learn how Avid can be used as a low cost editing solution that is flexible enough to handle a wide range of SD & HD formats, as well as 24p and film based workflows
  • Discover how the richness of Avid's editing toolset can be used to really simplify the process of editing
  • See how to add graphics and energy to a creative piece
  • Learn how to output an HD project to multiple output media - to a DVCPRO HD or HDCAM master, to SD tape, to standard DVD and to high definition Blu-ray Disc

Participants in this workshop will come out with a solid understanding of how they can do better work, more quickly using Avid's industry leading tools.

Please pick up your EXPO pass at the registration area once you arrive. Your badge will be available in the registration area. With your registration/EXPO pass, you receive admittance to the exhibitor booth area and all panels and speakers.

Parking:
Navy Pier is accessible via a wide variety of public transportation options and also offers on-site parking.

The Lakeview Terrace is on the second floor off of Entrance #2, Lobby 3 towards the east end of Navy Pier. If traveling by taxi, ask to be dropped off in Entrance #2 at the end of the pier. If driving, park in the east garage and follow the signs to the Lakeview Terrace.

Parking at Navy Pier is on a first come, first serve basis. Parking rates at the pier are a flat fee of $19 for up to 24 hours. You will be able to pay for your parking pass at the pay stations located near doors 1, 5, 6, 8, 10 and from the Terminal Building near the Grand Ballroom (directional signage is located throughout the Pier).  In addition, you may pay directly in the exit lanes (credit card only).

Please note the East garage of the Navy Pier parking lot is closest to show site. If main parking lot is full, maps will be distributed to alternate lots.
